The company terrestris GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 2002 by Till Adams and Hinrich Paulsen as a spin-off from the University of Bonn. Since January 01st 2018 the founders have handed the management of the company to Mr. Torsten Brassat and Mr. Marc Jansen. terrestris offers services and products with open source software and focuses in particular on the processing and presentation of spatial data with geographic information systems (GIS) in all their forms.
The requirements and specific needs of its‘ customers are at the forefront of all activities, based on proven and widely used open source technologies in combination with OGC and open standards as well as free data. Innovative and tailor-made solutions are developed, which often interact with other systems.
